Tom DeLay Scorecard

Have trouble keeping House Majority Leader Tom DeLay's misdeeds straight? Wonder why there have been two separate grand juries look into DeLay and his associates (with a third on the way?) This handy little scorecard give you a brief synopsis of Tom's known misdeeds.

Warning: There's a lot of them, this could take a while to get through.

March Meeting

The March meeting of the Cass County Democratic Party will take place Monday the 21st at party headquarters. See the Meetup link for details.

I cannot stress enough the value of having a high attendance. We are a party of ideals, and the more we talk about them the stronger they are.

For the People by the People?

An excerpt from an email by St Rep Phil Pflum (D-Milton)

"House Bill 1188 would have given the governor the power to drastically reduce citizen involvement in government by eliminating over 300 state boards and commissions that help oversee everything from education to health care to protecting children to helping older Hoosiers. The House Government and Regulatory Reform Committee has softened this proposal by ensuring there will be a legislative review before any advisory groups are eliminated."

The author of HB 1188? Cass County's own Rich McClain. Apparently McClain doesn't mind meeting his constituents, so long as he doesn't have to listen to them.

"Car-bombing" Indiana?

So apparently when Democrats in Indiana showed a backbone towards Mitch Daniels, they "car-bombed" Indiana's drive for growth. (Indianapolis Star) Really? And what were the Republicans last year when they used the same tactic, "Freedom Rangers?"

What really gets me is how refering to this as a "car-bombing" hasn't raised any attention. Who's more clueless Mitch for thinking the phrase was appropriate, or the media for thinking they aren't supposed to criticize such an obvious lack of judgement?
